Biography

Shahrad Mabourakh, M.D. leads our team of health care providers. Dr. Mabourakh is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 1981, medical degree at Temple University Medical School in 1985, and Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at University of California Irvine Medical Center in 1989. Dr. Mabourakh has been practicing medicine since 1989. Dr. Mabourakh is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. Dr. Mabourakh is presently on the active medical staff of University Hospital and Medical Center, Florida Medical Center, and Westside Medical Center.

Specializing in the field of Internal Medicine, Dr. Mabourakh is prepared to provide primary care to adult patients suffering from a wide range of illnesses and diseases, ranging from the very common to the very rare. Dr. Mabourakh is also trained to practice Geriatrics. Having studied Geriatrics, Dr. Mabourakh has been trained to provide comprehensive medical care for elderly and aging patients. As patients age, they may experience an increased susceptibility to illness and injury; in some cases illnesses or injuries may overlap, creating complicated diagnostic and treatment processes. Dr. Mabourakh is trained to diagnose, treat and manage these and any related medical situations.

One of the proudest moments in Dr. Mabourakh’s life is when his daughter Davita graduated from St. George’s University. Davita, inspired by the passion of her father for internal medicine, will be joining the practice in mid 2023 and will serve as an incredible asset to our already stellar staff of providers.x
